Project Publish - Cancelling at 3%

Kristi

Hi-

Each time I publish a project to project server, the job 'Publish Project'
shows up in the queue at 3% complete in the job state of cancelled. Any idea
why this would happen? It happens when I attempt to publish new or existing
projects. Thanks!

very strange. Have other projects been published previously, and were they
successful. Do other jobs in the queue process okay?

Yes, we used to be able to publish fine, but it now stops at 3%...I don't
know of anything that we've changed...any ideas?

It's worth restarting the queues, and making sure any service account
passwords haven't expired. As usual, try to troubleshoot using the logs, and
check the basics 1st.

Can you look in your Application Events (on the project server) and see what
error messages there might be for publish jobs for that project? I have a
hunch that the publish job for that project is actually failing, and then
it's being canceled by another corrective action which happens in certain
situations. If I'm right, then there should be a publish failure in the
Application Events for that project first, and then sometime later in the
events you might see your publish job being Canceled. If you do see that
the publish job failed for the project first, there should be reference to a
"stage number" where the publish failed. If you tell me what that stage
number is, and any other details in the error, I might be able to help
figure out what is happening.

HTH,
Sharry
