Project Queue Never Processes

N

Neufusion

Microsoft Project Server 2007 with Project Web Access

Items (such as delete timesheet) go into the Queue but never get
processed. they just sit at 'Waiting to be processed' and never move
past that point.

I dont see any errors in the event logs related to the queue or failed
login attempts.

Where do I start?

I was searching around Central Admin and Project Web Access for a way
to restart the queue. Never did I think to actually restart the
service itself.

I restarted the Microsoft Office Project Server Queue Service and it
started processing the jobs.

Thanks!

I am having a same issue, job just sits in the queue. But when I restarted
the "Microsoft Office Project Server Queue Service " I received the error
below. Any help would be good.

Thanks

Another thing I have noticed on the error is "ComputerName="MIS-PRO2007-01â€
which is a production and not in used yet.

I am currently working on Test Server (MIS-PROJ-DEV2) and running “Delete
Timesheet†option on the Test Server.

Can some help me figure out why the error is saying Production server as I
am running on Test Server. Or Can anyone tell me how to change the setting to
Test server?

Thanks in advance

It looks to me as though you may have restored databases from the
production kit, and the queue message is an old message from that
environment, or more likely you have a pointer to wss workspace which
does note exist on dev kit so cannot be deleted.

Thanks Mike. I ended up shutting down the production server since the server
was not in use yet. The test server Delete timesheet function is now working.

I may need to rebuilt the production server from the scratch.
