Project Queue Restart

Hi guys,

I have a two server farm configuration:

Project Server 2007(SP1 and Infrastructure update) installed on one machine

Sql Server 2005 SP2.

Now I have observed that when the Microsoft Project Server machine is
started and someone wants to perform an action let's say Timesheet
submission, the Microsoft Office Project Queue Status keeps saying 'Waiting
to be processed'.

Now if I have restart the Queue service and then cancel all jobs waiting to
be processed the action(s) waiting to be performed becomes successful.

Please how can I isolate this problem

Make sure that both the SQL machine and the SharePont machine are set to use
the same time source. Other than this, there seem to be some systems that
need the Queue service restarted on a nightly basis. See:

Hi Gary thanks for the quick reply, the SQL Machine is a member server to the
Project server, So I should think that it should have the same time source as
the Project Server machine or could it be because the SQL server machine
doesn't get obtain it own IP address automatically? it uses a static IP
address.

Please respond

I don't know what you mean by "member server to the Project Server," but I
don't think this has anything to do with IP addressing, static or otherwise.
Normally you want servers to have static IP addresses.
