Project Response Slow Resolution - Process Priority

We stumbled on the fact that the VWNOTIFY process is set to
belownormal by default on installation of Project 2002 and Project
2003....

Changing it to normal resulted in a 50% increase in speed...

Changing it to high resulted in an addition 10% increase in speed...

Changing it to RealTime is not a good idea...

Though I would share with the community...

Jim,

From Task Manager, right click the service and select Set
Priority from the menu.

Are you running SQL on the project box?
Also how many users on the system

It's set to below normal to give precedence to user operations.

I am able to find it in task manager - Process - show all
process box checked, but I am unable to change the
priority? I have tried with no one in project and with
services stopped still no luck. Thoughts?
