Project Schedule Opening in an Unselected View

I created a MS Project schedule and it has been published and saved to MS
Project Server. This schedule has been in existence for quite some time now.
I created a Custom View for the schedule and every time the schedule is
saved, it is in that view. Up until recently when I opened the schedule, it
would open in the same view. Now it always opens in a Milestone view. I
have never used the Milestone view nor saved the schedule while the Milestone
view was in use. Every time I open the schedule I change the view to my
custom view and save it again, but when the schedule is reopened it defaults
back to the Milestone view. Does anyone know why this is happening? I have
other schedules with custom views and they still work perfectly fine.

Have you checked the default view setting in Tools > Options > View?
