HI All,

I'm trying to install Project Server 2007 on a Windows Server 2008 R2
x64...

I have the Project Server exe file with SP1, and when I try to run it
it says that there is an error on compatibility...

surfing the net I've found the following :http://technet.microsoft.com/
en-us/library/cc531331.aspx where it says that Project Server must be
with SP2...

is it true?? is there any way to install Project Server 2007 and after
update to SP2?? how can I get a Project Server SP2 version???

just to test I download wss 3.0 SP1 and it gives me the same error....
I downloaded WSS 3.0 SP2 and it worked fine....

I try to install Project Server 2007 SP1 on top of WSS 3.0 SP2, but
the same compatibility error came out...

any suggestion???

thanks all

Vit

I've just done the instalation on Windows 2008 R2 64x in a medium farm
configuration.
In the end we succeeded installing Project 2008 by Slipstreaming SharePoint
SP2 and other patches into the installation

For Slipstreaming sharepoint this is a good blogpost:

We slipstreamed the Project installation in a similar way
