Project Server 2002 Install Error

I am installing Project Server 2002 enterprise
configuration where the SQL2000 install is on a remote
machine. I recevieve the following error at 80% of the
way through the installation:

"Installation ended prematurely bacuse of an error"

I followed the resolution steps specified in KB article
324833 and still am receiving the same error.

Has anyone else run into this?

Can you give us some more information on the system(s) you are installing on
such as the version of Windows, Service Packs installed, and any other
software that might interfere such as antivirus or security programs.

Server: Compaq (HP) ML370 dual-PIII 1.4GHZ, 1.4GB RAM
OS: Windows 2000 SP3 (5.00.2195)
Software:
IIS 5.0
MS Office Standard
Alterian Analytical Suite

It is a pretty clean install, just the OS and the two
packages mentioned above. No virus or security sw.

I tried the Install Now option and was able to succesfully
install. HOWEVER, I do want to take advantage of the
Enterprise features so this is not a viable work around.

Hope this was the right info.

Thanks. I'll check it out.

FYI, the istall rollback was always happening at Script 6
of 11 in the DB setup. On a hunch I pointed it to a fresh
install of SQL Server2000 i had set up, and it worked.
Must have been something with the SQL Server I was
pointing the install to.
