Because you are actually trying to connect to Project Server from Active
Directory, ( not the other way around ) you first need to have an account in
the Active Directory that will allow you to authenticate to Project Server.
Once the Active Directory account is setup and you try to login to Project
Server, either diectly or through the client, a login window should appear
asking for domain\username and password. That should let you in to Project
Server. If you check the box "Remember My Password", you will not need to
enter your information again when you login next time.
All this, of course, assumes that the Administrator has setup Project Server
ahead of time to accept windows accounts. If you are the administrator, make
sure that either "Mixed Mode" or "Windows Accounts Only" are selected,
however you have decided to setup your system. And, make sure that the
domain name you are going to use is registered with Project Server. Again,
an administrator task. Hope that helps.
