I have read that excel can be imported into project. I don't know what this
encompasses or to what level. I am looking for a way to import an excel
document into project. This would be to remove a step. Currently, our Sales
department submits information in excel and then an administrator manually
transfers the data into a project template. I am looking for a way to map
the tasks to an existing template that has appropriate calendars, generic
resources and predecessors in place.
Can anyone let me know if this can be done and/or lead me to some supporting
documentation? I am not having much luck with the online help text.
