Project Server 2003 Web Components not installing on IE 6.0 SP1

Howdy, I have been scratching my head on this one for a while, and searching all over for answers, please help.

This problem happened to me with both Project Server 2002 and 2003. Client machines tested with all IE 6.0 SP1 / Win2K Server
Here is my problem:
- Project Server installed fine, many people able to login and see tasks.
- I am unable to login from my computer or another test computer. I can login from a 3rd test computer.
- tested with other users, also unable to login to my computer/2nd test computer. everyone can login to 3rd test computer.
- I tried manually installing-uninstalling owc10(PS2002) and owc11/mpsaddin(PS2003)


- I get to the EULA and click next.
- one POPUP asks if I want to install Microsoft Office Project 2003. Click Yes.
- error is "The controls for Project Web Access could not be downloaded correctly. Please check your security settings in Internet Explorer or contact your system administrator."

- I tried using the INTRANET and the EXTRANET addresses (\\servername\projectserver\) AND (http://servername/projectserver/) - same result

- I reset all my Security Settings to default. - no joy
- I cleared web cache/cookies/password info - no joy
- I put the server into LOCAL INTRANET - lacked joy here also

I probably did other things trying to get this working, but I can't rememember right now.

Any guesses?
It is ANY account logging into from my computer; my account does work from another computer

You may have a problem with the CAB files, try removing
the classes.

From Internet Explorer, from the Tools Menu, Internet
Options. On the General TAB, click the Settings button,
then the View Objects button. Remove the two project
classes by "right clicking" and remove:

PJ11enuC Class and
PJAdoInfo3 Class.

You may have to reboot your client machine to be able to
remove these classes as they may be in use.

Once removed, access Project Web Access again and try
downloading the controls.

Thanks Gary,

no joy on removing the component from the downloaded program files
Only PJ11enuC was installed.
I am guessing it must be the PJAdoInfo3 that is failing to install.

I will do more searching on that and try to see why it can't install

I am logged in as local administrator
I am able to login to the project server with Project 2003, but I need to login to view tasks assigned and such

Hi,
i had the same error,
but after loging to that computer with diferent accont, i was able to install WEB components, and then everything worked to all users on that PC.
