Project Server 2007 Alerts and Reminders issue

Please advise how to setup Alerts and Notifications in Project Server 2007.

I installed Project Server 2007: small farm one-tier installation. I
configured Alerts and Reminders for the PWA Project site and setup default
settings on the SharePoint Administrative site. The server is registered on
the SMTP sever and SMTP service is running under Local System Account.

The Notifications are not sent and the job fails. Below is an error see on
the PWA Server Settings-> Manage Queue Settings page:

Can you verify that your resources have email addresses and that the email
address is in the following format: (e-mail address removed)?

I'm having the exact problem. Our users are synchronized with our active
directory server and they do have a valid e-mail address.
Please advice since we're stuck here.

I worngly mentiond the email server address in project web access. now
it is solved.

All,
I am also experiencing the same issue. My install thought is the basic, all
on one server without a farm. I have confirmed that the server is allowed
to relay, I can produce email notifications from the Sharepoint Portion of
the server, but not fromt he PWA configuration.

I receive the same error as listed below. I have also manually retyped the
smtp info and email address, still no delivery and the queue logs are
produced with the error.
