Hi,

Has anybody found a way to easily take a Project Server 2007 database
and restore it on an other SQL Server? Typically in the idea of
setting up a QA server?

Thank you for your ideas,
Nicolas

For the project information...
Create the new instance of PWA and note the database names. Backup the
other databases, and restore over the new instance databases.
Someone else will need to help out regarding the content DB.

Nicolas,

Make sure you turn off the following three services on the server for the
duration of the restore:
- Microsoft Office Project Server Events Service
- Microsoft Office Project Server Queue Service
- Windows SharePoint Services Timer

As far as the WSS content is concerned I haven't seen any solution yet.

Hope this help...

Hi

I have had some success in doing this by restoring the 4 databases to the
target server and point to them when creating the Project Web Access site.

What I am having trouble with is getting all the SharePoint data for the
sites assosciated with a project and the changes we have made to web access
to move to the new server.

Hope you have had better luck
