Hi. We have projects with tasks that need to be reported by different
methods.

Example:
Task 1 = %complete. This is done by a contractor and we dont't care about
the number of hours expent.
Task2 = hours worked by day. This task is assigned to a resource.

How can i configure this in Project 2007? I try to use the collaboration
options and the publish field, but it's difficult to configure the project.
I changed the method to report progress in Project, then i set publish
field=NO for some tasks and publish the project. Is there a way to change
the method for reporting progress task by task? what am i doing wrong?

Thanks,
Wilt Rovira

What are you doing wrong? Everything to do with tracking. You cannot track
tasks by different methods in the same project. Each project must have a
unique method of tracking for the entire project. Hope this helps.

I appreciate very much your help.
It was possible configure a project like this in Project Server 2003 just
changing the method and republishing selected tasks.

You can't in 2007. Every task uses the same method of tracking progress.
Hope this helps.
