Project Server 2007 - Domain Windows 2003

Hi there!
I need some help trying to configure Project Server 2007. Here is my config:
- 1 windows AD domain 2008
- 1 Server 2003 with Project Server / WSS / SQL Express join to the domain
(I didnt run the dcpromo, I just went to my computer-join domain)

I'm able to add AD user accounts to my projects and to the project server
without problems, using "DOMAIN\USERNAME" (Windows authentication) and I'm
using one PC connected to the domain, so when I use Project Pro or PWA I dont
have problems from that PC. BUT...when I go to another Pc in the same network
and I use the browse PWA, ask me for the logon name, I use "DOMAIN\USERNAME"
and I got "IE can not display the website" or sometimes I got the website but
I have to retyep the password many, many times and after few seconds, just I
loste the wwebsite....

I need to join (running dcpromo) to the domain...???
Why the authentication is not working if I use "DOMAIN\USERNAME" ???

Thank you!

Jose

Is the PC that you cannot log onto the PWA site part of the domain that PS
sits in, or is it part of another domain. If part of the other domain, can
you make the domains trust each other?

Hi Ben,
That PC doesnt allow to that domain, in reality is like workstation...The PC
NEEDS to be on the domain?? what about if they access from outside (I havent
tried that)...it will work??

Right now I'm creating the usernames on the same server (Project) and seee
if it will work...

thanks!

Hi Jose,

Okay, you've got an infrastructure related issue, probably to do with the
settings in IE. Check that you can trust data across domains etc, and try
adding the Project Server site to your trusted sites.
