Hell Gary,

Thanks for reply, Actually i dont have harware constraint rather then
operating system. We have server with quad processor & 8 GB ram.
But the issue is this we have 3 licence of Win 2k8 and 2 licence of win 2k3.
So i am wondering about it on which operating system i install Sql Server
2005 because of performance issue, i am in thought that may be win 2k8 is not
mature yet so its risky may be installing Sql server over it.

Thats why i am asking about the advice, now i think you understand my
problem and please advice me accordingly.

thanks.

Gary,

Sorry, i confused you, let me explain in an other way.

I have 2 chocies for operating systems in installation os Project server &
sql Server

1) 2WFE installed over Windows 2003 x64, 1 App server over window 2008 x64,
2 Backend Data base(SQL) over windows 2008 x64.

2) 2WFE installed over Windows 2008 x64, 1 App server over window 2008 x64,
2 Backend Data base(SQL) over windows 2003 x64.

Now just guide me which one is better and reliable options 1 or 2.

I have 2 licenc of windows server 2003 & 3 licence for windows servert 2008.

hope i clear the stuf.

thanks
waqas

ideally buy another one so they are all the same and it'll be easier to
maintain but with your constraints the second option, since it would be
easier to maintain.
and don't forget to install SQL x64

If you need to choose, option 2 is the preferred one (as Christophe states)
as the sharepoint servers will be the same.
There is also an option to use the 2008 licenses to install server2003. Then
all your servers will be equal. You will need to contact Microsoft to help
you with proper installation keys.

hope this helps
