Project Server 2007 - Issues

Juliana Giorni

Hello

I have some issues with Project Server 2007.

1- When projects are deleted from PWA, they still appears at the
categories. How can I delete then on a specific place that they don't
appear anymore at categories list?

2- When resources assign theirs hours, is there a view / way for then
to visualize the assign's history? (besides thimesheet).

Please, what can be done about that?

Hi Juliana,

I have encountered your first problem before, when you deleted the projects
from PWA, you must also delete it from the archive database. Somehow the
categories list also refers to the archive database but I don't know the
reason for that.

Hi Godrid

When you say delete project friom the archived databasem do you mean
just delete it from the table of the database? just that?
Do you know if it's a bug or a new way to deal the projects deleted of
project server 2007?

Thanks

Hi Juliana,

You should use Delete Enterprise Objects function in PWA Server Setting.
Select "Delete projects only from Archived database" option and delete the
project from there. This looks like a bug to me but need confirmation from
Microsoft.

Hi Godrid

I've already did that, When I delete projects from PWA, I choose that
option "Delete projects only from Archive databse".
But the project that I've deleted still appears at categories options.

Thanks

Hi Juliana,

Apart from deleting projects from archive database, you should also delete
that project from the published and draft database. If you still see the
category list showing the deleted project after that, then you probably would
like to check out the project related tables such as MSP_PROJECTS table in
ProjectServer_Draft, ProjectServer_Published and ProjectServer_Archive.
