Project Server 2007 - Maximum Hours Per Day

Lisa

Our timesheet configuration and process is setup so resources enter time into
timesheets and import the time into tasks. The maximum hours/day is set to
24. If I try to submit my timesheet with 36 hours entered into one day it
saves the entry but gives me an error telling the total hous allowed per day
exceeds the limit and I should up date it. However, I am still able to go
into tasks and import the 36 hours and the PM is also able to approve the
hours.

Is there any way to stop the hours from saving in the timesheet and being
able to import them into the tasks?

Thanks

This is just one more bug in Project Server 2007. The system should NOT
allow you to save the Timesheet with 36 hours entered in a single day.
Furthermore, it should NOT allow you to import the hours into 36 hours into
the My Tasks page. At this point, the best I can tell you is that your
timesheet approvers need to keep a close watch over every submitted
timesheet, and team members need to be careful about the hours they enter in
the timesheet. Hope this helps.
