Project Server 2007 - My Tasks and Project Center Sync in Web Access?

Hello,

Relatively new installation of Project Server 2007 (6 weeks). Basic
functionality is up and running, importing projects, etc. We're using
the "My Tasks" and "My Timesheets" functionality. Tasks come over
from Project Center without issue, and Tasks export to Outlook without
issue. However, when a task is updated from Outlook to My Tasks, or
updated in My tasks and saved/submitted, the upstream location is not
updated correctly. For example, updating a task to complete in
Outlook only partially updated the % Complete in My Tasks. Completing
a Task in My Tasks does not update the Project Center at all. We have
Auto-Approvals turned on, and the Project Queue appears to be clear.
Everything seems to be checked in.

Perhaps a rights issue? I'm and admin and I'm manipulating my own
projects in a quasi-production environment. Any ideas as to how to
resolve this? If the system cannot reconcile the 3 locations, then
the whole idea of self updating project tasks delivered to Users by
the PM is essentially useless.

Thanks for your assistance.

After you update tasks from a team member, regardless of where the task
update orginates, you must actually publish the project from either PWA or
from the Microsoft Project Professional 2007 desktop client. That would
account for the task data getting out of synch with your Project Center
data. Hope this helps.
