Project server 2007 Task updates issue

I have Single server installation of Project server 2007. I have the
following issue. Looking forward for your help

All users updates their tasks using Outlook 2007 plug in.

1. User receives task 1,updates progress 30%, and submit updates. (Task1 has
been overdue)
2. The Project manager who receive task updates sees the update of progress
30% and also sees an indication that the task is overdue.
3. Project manager deletes task1 as this task is no longer needed.
4. User starts outlook 2007 and sync tasks with server.
4. The user who receives task updates does not see an update that task1 has
been deleted.

If the task is deleted why it is not not reflected in users Task list in
outlook?

1) The Outlook/MOPS integration has always been sketchy at best. Few people
recommend using it.
2) That being said, tasks really should never be deleted from a baselined
schedule - particularly one that is in progress. Your best bet is to zero
out the remaining work of the task, thereby marking it as completed, and
leave it in the schedule - perhaps with a new name like "DELETED - Task Name"

Thank you for your reply Andrew Lavinsky. This will create another issue i.e
if we make a Task completed, the resource will be utilized during that period
when resource is not supposed to be included.

Is there any way to overcome this?
