Project Server 2007 with Project Portfolio Server, same machine

I am following the Deployment for Microsoft Office Project Portfolio Server
2007
guide (released mid-February 2007), scenario 4 with PPS, PS, WSS, SQL, SQL RS
all on a single machine. This is on a fresh Windows 2003 SP2 install.

Followed the roadmap to install SQL Server 2005 SP1, SQL Reporting Services,
WSS 3.0. I reversed the steps described in page 23, completed the PPS
installation
first, but the note below says that the order of PS and PPS installation can
be
switched. I am now trying to install Project Server 2007.

After entering the Product Key and the EULA page, according to the PS 2007
Deployment Guide for Farm Installation, I should get a Choose the Installation
You Want with Advanced or Basic. I don't get this page.

Instead I get a page with the Complete, Web Front End grayed out and the
only choice is Standalone. What am I missing here? My machine only has
1GB of memory rather than the 2GB that is recommended, but that shouldn't
affect things, should it?

Why doesn't the PPS Deployment Guide mention any reference of what to
follow for the PS installation? An EPM solution should cover the series of
steps.
