Hi,
I am using project server 2007. Currently whenever create new project

t possible to have some other person(another project manger or team leader)
can approve the task updates.

Thanks,
Arun

Hi Arun, change the status manager for each assignment and republish. Task
updates will go to the status manager.

Hi Ben Howard,
I tried with that option, But when I add Status Manager column, it is
not listing other project managers name.If I try to type the other project
manager name, it is not allowing and automatically changing back to the
project uploader.I changed the project owner in the project properties of
project center. Before anything I need to do?

Thanks,
Arun

The OTHER project manager needs to open the project and do the steps that
Ben described. Hope this helps.

Hi Dale,
I think I did not properly explaned the problem.I changed the
Project owner and added 'Status Manager' colum. It is listing only the
current project manager or who uploaded the project. I could not fnd or type
other project managers in that Status Manager Column.

Thanks,
Arun

You properly explained the problem. What I am telling you is this: the NEW
manager needs to open the project and changed the Status Manager values.
You cannot do this as the Project Server administrator. Hope this helps.

Hi Dale,
Thanks for your help. It is working fine. I think for each task we
can assign different person as status manager. How can I do that? Is it every
time I need to change the project owner in the edit project propery to bring
them into status manager?

Thanks,
Arun

Hi Dale,
Anotherthing I noticed, Edit project property window only listing
administrators name. It is not listing project managers name, whether I need
to give more permissions to managers?

Thanks,
Arun

The problem you see is an oversight on Microsoft's part and I reported this
as a bug. In the Project Managers group in PWA, select the My Organization
category, and then select the Save Project permission in the Permissions
grid. This will cause members of the Project Managers group to appear on
the Owner pick list in the Edit Project Property window. Hope this helps.

Yes, you can certainly have a different Status Manager for each task in the
project, if you wish. Each PM must open the project and set his/her own
name as the Status Manager for the relevant tasks. Hope this helps.
