Deployment / Migration Related Questions:
1. Can Project Server 2010 able to migrate my 70+ projects.
Supported Point / Existing Deployment Structure:
1. Project Server 2007 deployed on Middle Farm Configuration
Mode
2. We haven't linked it with Share Point Portal
3. We haven't start using Portfolio Server, though we are in
analysis phase.
2. Do we need to set up Portfolio Server and linked with Project
Server 2007 prior to upgrade to 2010.

Hello Hyder,

There is no need to migrate projects from 2007 to 2010. That will happen
automatically when you open the project in a 2010 server without BCM
"Back-wards Compatibility Mode" turned on.

As the Shared Services are gone from MOSS in 2010, you will have to move
your server to a MOSS based installation.

The 2007 Portfolio Server is not being migrated to 2010 so if I understand
your last question correctly. The recommendation is to get the 2010 Beta
project server and review the portfolio functionality to see if it meets your
needs. Do not spend time with the 2007 Portfolio Server if you do not
already have it installed.
