Project server access issue

I have installed Windows 2003 R2 Standard server, Applied SP2 and all
patches, INternet Explorer and >NET 3, 2 etc.

After installing the above, I have installed Project Server with SP1 using
Basic mode.

I have successfully configured. I could able to access Project Web Access
using the Internet explorer on the server.

How ever When I tried to access from other PC's It redirects me to different
website.

Example:

My server name is rs123
fully qualified domain name is rs123.americas.abccorp.net

My Project server address is http://rs123/pwa/default.aspx

DESKTOP
----------
If I access using my desktop and IE 7.0 browser redirect to
http://www.rs123.com/pwa/default.aspx (Wrong website)

If I use firefox on my desktop it redirects to
http://www.rs123.com/pwa/default.aspx (Wrong Website)

LAPTOP
----------
If I use my Laptop and Internet Explorer it works. :)(Correct website)
If I use my Laptop and firefox it is NOT working and redirects to
http://www.rs123.com/pwa/default.aspx

Any idea why? My server is on the domain and configured using Static IP.

Hope I can get some inputs. Thanks in advance.

A couple of issues here:

Firstly, Project Web Access does not support Firefox, so let's get that out
of mix right away. You can use FF with plain vanilla SharePoint, but not
with Project Server.

Next, in order to get the FQDN to resolve, you need to setup Alternate
Access Mapping (AAM) in SharePoint, which is the SharePoint equivalent of
host headers. Have you done this?

Thanks for the reply. I have not configured AAM but I am it confused.
My Laptop can access with out any problem but my desktop has issue I am not
sure why.

I have attached my Screen UI, I hope you can give some inputs regarding
configuration of AAM.

My intranet site is http://RS33/
Upon Access AAM (ALternate Access method) I saw the following UI.
http://i48.tinypic.com/4t57jr.jpg

Once I click http://rs33, I got the following UI.
http://i49.tinypic.com/2vmyl95.jpg

What Should I do?

I tried to search in Technet, I saw the following Link.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc288609.aspx

When I select IIS-> Sharepoint - 80 -> Properties
The UI looks totally different
See the attached UI

Thank you for your inputs.

It looks like everything is setup correctly. Each of the links you click
leads you to different areas of SharePoint and is normal. The TechNet
article is the correct one to follow to add the AAM for the FQDN. You also
need to configure your router or NAT tables to send the traffic to the
correct server IP.

The TechNet article at the point you cite is talking about reverse proxy.
The UI you show for your own appears to be the correct UI for setting up
AAM.

How do I fix the below problem?

Sharepoint site location
http://rs33.americas.abccorp.net/default.aspx
Link: http://i45.tinypic.com/2mwezw0.jpg
I can access the above site using FQDN (Fully qualified domain name).

I am hosting project web Access at the following location
http://rs33.americas.abccorp.net/pwa/default.aspx
(Note pwa is added ).
I am UNABLE to access Project Web Access using FQDN (i.e
http://rs33.americas.abccorp.net/pwa/default.aspx).
Error link: http://i46.tinypic.com/2ymfuh1.jpg

I can access project Web access using http://rs33/pwa/default.aspx

I would like to know how do I fix the issue so that I can access Project Web
Access using FQDN.

Good day!

I think it would be great if you will solve this problem to put some sort of
step-by-step guide on how to get PWA to the internet.

After reading A LOT of stuff about this problem, I think that many people
will be thankful for it!
including me!

Thank you in advance!
