Project Server Accounts

Hello all,

I have an ERP that is supposed to not let PMs create new user accounts when
they save\publish a project plan. I checked all permissions that they indeed
do not allow it. However, I now have a bunch of Project Server Accounts (we
ONLY use Windows Authentication). Any idea how these Project Server Accounts
are being created? I am the only one with admin status. Within the ERP, there
are 305 Project Server Accounts out of a total of 1520.

Thanks for your help,

To guarantee that PM's cannot create new PWA user accounts when they publish
a project containing local resources, complete the following steps:

1. Log into PWA with administrator permissions
2. Click Admin - Server Configuration
3. In the features grid in the middle of the page, set all three Account
Creation permissions to Deny
4. Click the Save Changes button

Did you actually do the steps above? Let us know.

Dale,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, the permissions are correct. That's why I'm
mystified.

After those accounts are already created, you will need to delete them
manually using Admin - Clean up Project Server Database. Even if you
disable the New Account Creation option, this won't delete the accounts
previously created. Hope this helps.
