Hello Dear:

What we have is 2 MS professional and 7 MS standard 2002,
we are looking to have the server installed.
The queation is: does everyone in my team do really need
professional version for web access?
The other question is: do everyone who do not have the MS
project instgalled in their computer can have access to
the web access through the server?
Please advise
pls. I have post this note on publisher general as well
because I was not sure to which section is belonging to.
Thank you
Majid

Majid:

(i) Project Web Access ("PWA") is a separate and much
cheaper license.

(ii) Yes, PWA will give you access to data in the
server. The types of things you can do with PWA differs
greatly from Project Pro.

Hope this helps!

Thank you Sean for the reply. To make sure I undrestood,
MS project standard can be run with server using PWA.
Therefore, we better purchase PWA than MS project standard
becasue PWA allow us the web access and can be used with
server.
Please advise

Dear Majid,

You need to have MS Project Professionals/ stds for Project Managers only.

Web Access is used for Team Members or Executives or CEOs.

Web Access does not need MS Project Professional or standard. It works
independtly.
