Project Server Cannot Connect

Sally

Hi
When we select the user account to get into MS Project,
the following message is appearing:

"An exception occured in the Project Server. Project
Server encountered a problem with this error code: 9346.
Please contact your administrator" and then "Cannot
connect. Project was unable to establish a connection
with the selected Project Server."

PWA is working fine, can submit timesheets and view plans
etc. but cannot even log into Project on the desktop.
Nothing has changed overnight and I have rebooted the
Project Server but no luck. I have even tried to open MS
Project Professional which is installed actually on the
Project Server and this gives the same message.

Has anyone come across this before and know what the
problem is?

Cheers
Sally

Hi Sally.
We haìó the similar problem. To resolve it we have done next steps:
1. Run Project Professional in Work offline mode
2. Create new clear project. Save it as temlate
3. Restore Enterprise Global from this template

After that we were able to connect with Project Professional to Project
Server

I have just solved this problem - in case anyone else
every gets it, this is what heppened:

In the SQL database, somehow a duplicate table of
MSP_Projects had been created. It had a similar but not
identical structure to the original MSP_Projects table but
had no data within it. By renaming this table, the
problem seems to have been solved.

Kind regards
Sally
