I am running Project Server 2003 on a Windows Server 2003 box. I am als
running Windows Sharepoint Services on the same box. I am having problem
configuring SSL, more particularly: after requiring SSL for both PS and WSS, I cannot get PS to login to WSS anymore
I have rolled my own certificates using Windows Server 2003 CA; SSL access via PWA works fine. Is the added security warning of Windows CA cerfiticates the source of my trouble? This would imply we have to purchase real certificates for our development-test-staging instrastructure...
I require SSL in IIS for all sites: Default-PS, WSS Administration, WSS
I then go to the Project Server Administration page called "Manage Windows Sharepoint Services" and adjust and test the entries for the SharePoin
Central Administration URL and the "Create a site under this SharePoint URL
to reflect the https and proper ports.
The two URL's to test work perfectly, as well as verifying whether the account used has sufficient priviliges
However, when I hit "Save Changes" I get the following error message from Project Server - "One or more errors occurred in the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate sent by the serve
running Windows SharePoint Services. Verify that the SharePoint Centra
Administration URL and/or SharePoint Web Server URL are configured properl
to support SSL.
Please provide the exact configuration steps to configure PS and WSS in SSL for a single server install. Include special certificate requirements if these apply
With Kind Regards

(This is a repost of the message I posted to microsoft.public.project.server, but which did not get an answer. I hope to get an answer here)
