Project Server Cannot send out email

Hi all,

The email notification function worked previously. But doesn't work now.

Any idea?

Hi SS,

Project Server or WSS. Do you not receive e-mails regarding your schedule (
if so you will need to check if the exchange server address has changed) or
dont you receive emials about risks and issues ( if so you will need to check
if Windows Sharepoint Services e-mail notificaiton is turned on).

since you sayed that it worked previously, I would assume that something has
changed in your Exchange Server environment.
I hope this put you into the right direction

Is it not working only for you or everyone in your organization.
Did you change any setting in Notification and reminders page.

Thanks all,

I just found out that the setting of the email server had been changed.
Authentication is required for outgoing mail now.

However, I could not find the option in the sharepoint mail service setup
page.

Any idea?

Simon:

Get your Exchange folks to make an exception to authentication for the
specific IP address of your Project Server.
