Project server encountered a problem with this error code: 9000

I have a user that was saving a project plan and got a pop-up stating
"Project server encountered a problem with this error code: 9000. Please
contact your server administrator." I searched this discussion board as well
as TechNet, but found no reference to this error.

Thanks in advance for any insight you might be able to offer.

Hi,

Which version of Project Professional and Project Server are you using?
If it is 2007, have you already installed Infrastructure Updates (IU)?

One case that I know with 2007 is that if a local custom field that has
more than 998 values cannot be added as an enterprise custom field.
Additionally, when you add a local custom field to an enterprise custom
field, you may receive error code 9000. This is true if the enterprise custom
field uses a lookup table that has more than 998 values.

Is that the case with you?

Thanks & regards
