Project Server hang when opening a project

hi all,

I have an issue when opening a project plan from Project Server 2003. No
error message, but after you click open and select a file, it then hang...and
you cannot do anything else, except restart the computer. But it only hang
when opening certain project plan.......no error on event viewer.

anyone know how to fix this ? or how to recover the corrupted project plan
on project server ?

From your description, I would agree with your assessment that the project
is corrupted. There might be one way to recover this corrupted project,
short of deleting it and then having a DBA restore it from a nightly backup.
Try this first:

1. Launch Project Professional 2003 and connect to Project Server.
2. In a new blank project, click Insert - Project.
3. Select your corrupted project and then deselect the "Link to project"
option.
4. Click the Insert button.

Using the above steps, sometimes Microsoft Project can resolve the
corruption. If the above steps do not work, then you will need to refer
