Project Server/Project Pro - Project Managers Task Ownership

B

Braktooth

Hello,

I have one project and I've published each section to give Project Manager
status to individual project managers as per the responsibile section. The
idea is for one Executive to view the whole project and the changes or
updates that each project manager has made.

Does anyone know why the project updates are coming back to me and why the
project managers are unable to update their own tasks through Project Pro? I
am really confused.

Thanks!

Each project manager needs to do the following to get the system to work
correctly:

1. Open the project
2. Select the tasks that he/she will manage
3. Click Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments
4. Make sure the "Selected tasks" option is selected at the top of the
dialog
5. Select the "Become the manager of these assignments" option
6. Click OK

Again, each manager must complete the above steps. Before any manager does
these stesps, make sure that you do not have any pending task updates from
team members. Hope this helps.
