Project Server Reporting

I'm new to Project Server (very familiar with MS Project and SQL Server) and
was curious where I can find online docs explaining the best way to
select/extract PS data to be used by Reporting Services (ie; which
table/columns correlate to the GUI, sample queries, etc.). I need to print a
Project Overview one-pager across all projects (~40 projects) for executives
as this is currently a manual process.

Included in that request is to depict in graphic format each projects
expanded PS Task Tree-View and its associated Gantt Chart...is this even
possible...at best I was hoping for a nightly scheduled job that would dump
these graphics to files that I could import into a database table to be
included in Reporting Services when I run the reports.

I've also read an article that P12 offers a Reporting Database and didn't
know when that would be released...didn't want to write ETL/Reports that have
a very short life expectancy if P12 was right around the corner.

I apologize for all the questions, but appreciate your time and any
suggestions you can offer.

The Project Server database schema is available in HTML in the PS CD.
If you want to go further into understanding the relationship between
the tables, you can use SQL Profiler to monitor the SQL that are
executed when you perform some action in Project Server.

For the graphic format for Task Tree-View and Gantt Chart, there is a
Copy Picture function in the Edit menu in MS Project. You can try to
create a VBA macro to automate this task for the 40 projects.
