Project Server Security Login annoyance

Every time I launch Project Pro 2003, I get a dialog box entitled "Project
Server Security Login". It reads: "Enter you logon information for the
server http:///myserver/..." Other than that, the contents of the box is
blank and my only options are Cancel and the X in the upper right corner. I
am using Windows domain authentication. I have to cancel this dialog every
time I launch Project Pro. Is there a way to eliminate this annoyance?

I don't think so; when I launch Internet Explorer, my domain credentials are
passed to MSPS and I'm not prompted for a username/password/domain. Also,
would my browser settings even apply? The issue I detailed happens when I
(or others) launch the Project 2003 Professional application that resides on
the PC.

Thanks,
Paul

Do you have McAfee 8.0 installed? :)

If you do the problem is caused by their new "ScriptScan" feature.

MS is working with McAfee on this. Right now you can solve this by
turning off ScriptScan. You will need to talk to McAfee about this if
that is the route you want to take. The other "solution" is to do what
you are doing and click cancel once. :)

Brian - Wow, that's it! - We are using McAfee 8.0

Thanks!

No problem. We were seeing this where I work too. As you know it is not
life or death. It has no ill effects other than being annoying to users
and being like an itch you cant scratch for us as administrators or IT
people! :)

As soon as MS knows something I will make sure it gets shared here.
