Hi
Anyone tried this before. (why anyone would want to I don't know)
I have a requirement to entirely supplant the timesheet function in
PWA. Resources will use a timesheet facility in an external system -
I will then need to import this to the Project Server database - OK
doing this but the catch? I only get the total cost for a time period
for the resource, no hours worked! From this I am supposed to ensure
that the integrity of the Project server database is maintained!
OK lets assume I've worked out how to acurately derived hours worked
based on cost - What I would like to do is use the native project
server objects to carry out the up-dates - entering hours worked via
the timesheet function causes multiple up-dates through out the
project server database, so hopefully if I use whats there already it
should do all th ecorrect up-date sin the correct order. Does anyone
know of any detailed documentation for the project server object
modle? I found a simple model for the Project object model but
nothing for project server.
Also, any good real world examples around for extending the PDS?
Specifically using vb.net? Got the one that MS provide but have not
found it very useful, more detail would be helpful?
