Project Server & Windows Authentication

G

Glenn Meyer

I just installed Project Server and added myself as an admin and selected
Windows Autentication. However, when I go to Project Web Access, I still get
the page that wants me to log in as a Project Server user. It doesn't
authenticate me and send me to my Home page. I can logon as the Project
Server Administrator and everything works fine. I just can't login as me with
my Windows account.

I did a practice install on a test server and it worked fine. When I go to
PWA on the test box, I get authenticated and sent to my home page. Did I miss
a configuration setting somewhere? I've spent hours looking at MS
documentation and can't seem to find the answer.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Glenn:

The most obvious possibility is incorrect directory security settings on the
virtual directory: Make sure Integrated Windows Auth is selected. Make sure
your Project Server is set to mixed authentication mode.
