How are process IDs (service accounts) managed in the application? Where are
passwords stored? Are they encrypted?

The only two non-windows server accounts, MsProjectUser and
MSProjectServerUser have passwords that are encrypted in the registry. Non
windows users setup in Project Web Access have passwords that are encrypted
and stored in the database. Windows accounts are controlled by the domain.
