Thanks. This is very helpful. A few more follow-up questions...
Are there any issues with Project 2003 and SQL 2000 on the same server?
Is WSSWIZ.exe part of SPS 2003 or Project Server 2003?
Is there a trial version of Project Server 2003 avaialable? I found the
option to order a trial of Project 2003 Standard, but not Server.
Somewhere (I can't recall where), I saw pricing info for Project
Professional 2003, Project Server 2003 CALs, and Project Web Access CALs.
The MS website at
http://www.microsoft.com/Office/project/prodinfo/EPM/components.mspx makes
no mention of Project Web Access as compoent of the Enterprise Project
Management Solution. Is Project Web Access a seperate product? On the one
hand, it seems to me like Project Web Access may be an integrated part of
Project Server. However, I'm almost sure I saw pricing that listed Project
Web Access seperately at one point.
Maybe I should have started by asking whether there is a Project Server 2003
FAQ available?
Thanks for your help,
Ed Lee

Project2003 WSS and SPS2003 can be installed on the same server. The
install is a little bit tricky. Here are the main steps:
1/ installl SPS 2003 (make sure that frontpage extensions are not installed
2/ run WSSWIZ.exe
3/ do not extend the default virtual site in WSS, instead create a portal site in the Default site
4/ create a WSS site
5/Install projectserver2003 (if you install services make sure you do that install first)
6/Check that the application identity for project server is not using the
Portal identity (it causes the grid not to function properly), but uses a
Network type identity.
