My project server2003 is running fine untill today. all of a sudden it give

" could not start the project server session mgr service on local computer, error 5 : access denied:

it gives same message when i try to start " tracing service & views notification service" also

can anybody help me in this regard.

Have you recently applied any new security policies on the server? Or
applied new security templates onto the machine?

I have seen this happen when you have restricted security too much on the
server running Project Server.

You might want to check what account is set to start these services, and
double check with your security people that the account has permission to
start services.

We often see this when the IT person who installs the software uses their
own logon account to activate services and the like. Their password expires
on its regular cycle bringing down the Project Server environment along with
it. Could this be what happened in your circumstance?

giving " HTTP Error 401.3 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to an ACL set on the requested resource.Internet Information Services (IIS)

what could be the problem

Have you tried rebooting the server?

Fro all services in properties the logon account is set for "NT

authority\loaclservice" is set. & i am domain adin & local admin also. still
it is giving same problem. & on sql also i have rights. can you help me!

One other thing to look at is the disk usage on your SQL server box. Let us
know how much drive space you've got left.
