Project Tasks being removed but still showing in Project Web Access

I inadvertently assigned a user an administrative task and then removed him,
yet the task still shows in Project SErver TAsks. It says it has been
deleted but it just hangs around...

How can i stop tasks from showing in this view after they are deleted.

You should be able hide the task by selecting the task by clicking on
the beginning of the row and then select Hide from the menu. This will
permanently hide the task.
