Project templates

I have a few questions regarding project templates.

1.) how does the system handle the enterprise templates. Meaning if I
create a project from a template and click save it will force me to fill out
the project server prompt. There is no way posible that a user can
accidentally save over a template file just by hitting save... Correct?

2.) I have a client who wants to store all template files on their network
drive, including project templates. the problem I see is when you tell
project professional you are creating a project from a template, the file
system is not an option. Do you know where the enterprise project template
folder is located? Could I not create a folder link to the network drive?
Any thoughts?

1. Correct. The system will not allow the user to accidentally save the
project over the template, at least not easily.

2. Enterprise templates are stored in the Project Server database. Your
client needs to save all enterprise templates in the Project Server
database, and not in a network folder somewhere on their network, otherwise
they would be defeating the purpose of using Project Server.
