Project Update Capability

As Administrator I have created several projects out there. Through
the RBS I have setup additional resources in the pool and have
established reporting relationships. Through security I have given
people rights to see all projects where their people are assigned to
tasks.

Although I am still the owner of the projects created, when I logon as
a different user who has as employees some of these resources assigned
to the projects, that logon is able to publish and save the project
through the client.

I thought only the owner of the project could publish/save? Does that
mean if security allows them to "see" the project, they can publish and
save as well without being the owner?

Thanks,

I would check the user/group security that these users are in. Seeing and
updating are different permissions. Whichever security you are using, (group
or user) go to the category permission and make sure the "open project" and
"save project' are not checked. Under the Global permissions, uncheck the
"publish/update/status" field for those clients.

i believe that those are the two spots where these permissions are given out.
