My PM is telling me that one of his resources through PWA updated 4 tasks.
He said that when he accepted the upates in PWA, about 20 other tasks that
did belong and did not belong to that resource were changed as well. Why
would this happen? We are using Project Server 2003.

When your PM says "have been changed" what exactly has changed?
If the task that was updated has dependecies on other tasks, then other
tasks may move according to the dependecies that have been set. I would ask
for more details like what exactly has changed and the steps the PM took to
approve the tasks.

Marc,

When he says changed he means percent complete. He would have approved
those tasks to be, say 50%. For some reason, project then "changed" the
other 20 tasks, to some other percent complete that was not approved
previously by the PM. It seems that thought there is a scheduling feature
that is being used that I am unaware of. If the PM is not approving %
completes from his resources, then why are they changing?
