Project View details are not available

After plan has been successfully published to project
server, project centre displays the plan, but when I
select the plan to view detail, the data window displays
the following:

'There is no information to display in this view

Either the project manager has not published the project
plan or there is no information in the project plan to
display.'

Can anyone help?

Much Appreciated

If this is the case, your publish was not successful. What are you seeing in
the server's application event log?

Check your ViewDrop folder on the server? If there is a
build up of files you may have a problem. What I have
done in this case is to delete all files in the ViewDrop
and stop and restart the Project Server. There is a good
Kbase doc on this issue on MS site. Do a search on the
error message you listed below - it will give you other
areas to look at as well.

Good luck, Jeff

\WebClient\source\server\pjmsghlr\MsgHandler.cpp

Try this:

1.. Log on to the server by using your domain user name and password.
Note You must have a local Administrator or Domain Administrator level
user name and password to the reconfigure the folder security permissions.
2.. Click Start, point to Programs, and then point to Accessories.
3.. Click Windows Explorer, expand My Computer, and then click the drive
letter that contains the ViewDrop folder.
Note The typical installation point is:
<drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft Project Server\Bin\ViewDrop

4.. Right-click the ViewDrop folder, and then click Properties.
5.. Click the Security tab, and then view the list of names and groups
that have permissions on the folder. Verify or add the following groups or
user names with the appropriate permissions:
a.. Administrators Full Control
b.. Authenticated Users Full Control
c.. Everyone with the following permissions: Modify, Ready & Execute,
List Folder Contents, Read, and Write
d.. Internet Guest Account Full Control
e.. System Full Control
6.. Click Apply, and then click OK.
Try publishing again
