Project View not refreshed in PWA

J

Jose M. Dominguez

Hi,

We are using Project Proffessional 2003 sp2 and Project server 2003 sp2.
The problem is happening when we publish one specific project (it doesn't
happen with other projects of our organization).

Since 2 months ago, the fields of work and actual work are not updated in
the project view of project web access. We have republished the project in
many ocassions but still the project view is not updated.

We have been able to see that in the VIEWDROP folder of our server, when we
publish or republish this project, no XML file is generated, while with all
the other projects the XML file gets generated and is processed within 1
minute (more or less).

Jose:

This may indicate that the plan file has some corruption in it. You could
try forcing a rebuild in the binary record following the instructions at:

http://www.projectserverexperts.com/Shared Documents/BinaryRebuild.htm

If that does not work, try saving the project as an XML file, then delete
the file on the server and use the Import Wizard to bring it back in. After
you do this you must republish selecting the checkbox to overwrite the
actual work in PWA and then follow the instructions at the link above to
force the binary rebuild, which will shrink the file bloat that saving to
XML introduces in 2003.
