Project Web Access 2007

Hi All,

I have this query regarding customization of Project Web Access 2007.

There was a parameter called ‘parts’ (with values from 0 to 255) to be
appended to the home page URL in Project web access 2003 to control what
items were visible in the home page. For e.g. UI elements related to
Timesheet alone could be turned off from the home page.

We are trying to use the same parameter in PWA 2007, but, it does not seem
to work. Is anybody aware of how to get the equivalent functionality in PWA
2007?

Would appreciate any pointers !

Cheers,
Kasi.

Hi Kasi,
The SimpleUI (Parts was there for P2002 but was upstaged by
SimpleUI)functionality still exists within P2007. A quick test on 2007
shows that the following work on the home page, though the old 2003
descriptions are no longer applicable

simpleUI=1 (removes top menu that says Project Web Access)
simpleUI=2 (removes the graphic and search)
simpleUI=4 (removes the tabs)
simpleUI=8 (removes the action pane)

Of course, you can use a combination of them all, eg ?simpleUI=12. Other
options might work on other pages...

thx Ben. I work with Kasi. What we are looking for is a way to just turn off
the issues and risks related information display from the home page. We tried
different combinations of SimpleUI, it does not seem to work. Do you have any
ideas on it?

Allow me to jump into this thread. Have you tried the following:

1. Click the Server Settings link in the Quick Launch menu on the left side
of the page
2. Click the Quick Launch link in the Look and Feel section of the Server
Settings page
3. In the My Work section, click the Issues and Risks link
4. On the Add or Edit Link page, set the Display in Quick Launch pick list
value to No
5. Click OK

Let us know if this helps.
