One of our developers is claiming that when a backup of the production
Project Server database is restored on the devel SQL Server 2005, that the
settings on their devel Project Server IIS server is changing to point to the
production Analysis Services cube. This sounds like cya junk because the
devel MSP IIS server was set to update a cube (scheduled) which it did using
the restored Project Server database to update the Production cube (on the
production server). My understanding is that these settings, cube, database,
etc..., are manually set by using the Admin tab in Project Web Access.
Question, is there any way restoring a backup of the prod Project server db
on a devel SQL server could auto-magically change the devel Project Server's
cube/ db settings?
Thanks.
