Projector problems

Hi,

I have a slide with an animation on it that works fine on screen, however
when the PowerPoint presentation is used on a projector the animation
appears as a black square?

Any idea why it does this...

Thanks,

NickC

I've seen this before, but I can't remember the circumstance or solution. So
maybe some details will remind me.

Are you mirroring your monitor or using extended desktop?

What version of PowerPoint?

What is the object that you are animating?

If you remove the animation, does the object display in the presentation?

Are you using Presenters' View?

What kind of video card do you have?

Did you use a PowerPoint Custom Animation to animate this object? If so I
have no idea what could cause this strange behavior.

Or did you insert an animated video? In this case reduce the hardware
acceleration in screen properties, so that it can be shown on both computer
and projector.

Best regards,

Desktop is the same on the laptop and projector - it works on the laptop.
PP version is 2003
The animation is an mpg from Maya
Sometimes if the animation is stopped and restarted it works but out of
sync. i.e. the laptop shows the animation and the projector is a few seconds
behind.
