Projects\activity plans failing to checkin, in 2007

All, we just rolled out Project server 2007, and the project managers are
complaining about when they close there projects or activity plans, that they
dont always get checked back in, so they have to go though PWA to check them
in. Hows anyone else experienced this? if so what was done to fix it?
Thanks

Believe it or not, there is a bug related to how a project plan is
closed. Do not close projects or Project Pro using the "X" box in the
upper right corner. Use the File-> Close option instead.

James, I will check with my PM's, and make sure they are not clicking the
'x', hopefully that is ther issue, I will let you know.
Thanks

Now activity plans are not created using project pro, any ideals on why these
might not be checking back in?

Brian:

Are the users waiting to see that the save and checkin occurs before closing
the browser? The issue with closing the Project Application or using the
X-box to close the project has been around since Project Central. It's
actually worse now because the cache and queue happen in the background
whereas earlier versions hung the client up until the action completed.
