Projects Assignments Notification

Each time a project manager changes a task in project, it notifies all
resources with their tasks which include those completed and those
received in previous notification. People are getting spammed with
assignments and are not taking any notification serious. How can I
set notification for changes that are made only. I want it to work
like the notification in Project Server 2003.

What your users are experiencing with Project Server 2007 e-mail messages is
a known bug in the system. This bug causes the system to send an e-mail
message to every team member in a project, every time the PM publishes the
project, regardless of whether the team member's assignments have changed or
not. The easiest way to address this problem is to work around it by
setting the default e-mail subscriptions for all users, as documented in the
