We intend to use MSProject in an industrial environment
where staff works in shifts. We have setup a test scenario
with a day and evening shift using the calander in the
enterprise-global. Basically it works but the problem
starts when an employee works one week in the morning- and
the next week in the evening shift etc.
Changing the calender for the resource from morning- to
evening results that this change effects all weeks (in
past and future). The only way to get out of this is by
using the "non-standard working time" but that means you
need to enter the times for each individual. This is a lot
of work compared to just putting him in another shift.
Does anyone have the same experiences and did you find a
way to make the process more efficient?
